Keith Connolly

Vishnu to Woodstock

City Central

23a Parr Street

Keith Connolly is an artist and musician based in NYC, and a founding member of the No Neck Blues Band (NNCK), a group which has performed internationally and released numerous recordings over the last 10 years. Functioning as art director for NNCK's recorded output he has worked alongside NNCK members Matthew Heyner (also of IZITITIZ) and JF Ryan (ex-NCCK, now Excepter) in designing album covers and packaging. His own packaging designs and album cover art, notably the custom CD package for "Sticks and Stones May Break My Bones But Names Would Never Hurt Me" (Revenant, 2001), the "Everborneo!" LP (Seres, 2003), and recently the "Dutch Money" and "First Kingdom of the Ghost" LPs (Seres, 2004) have helped to define the uniquely anonymous aesthetic NNCK has become known for.

The posters included in Vishnu to Woodstock were handmade, photocopied, hand distributed or hung in shops, venues, etc. for the purpose of promoting events. In many cases this was to be the only publicity for the event.

In addition to NNCK, Keith Connolly is a member of The Suntanama and the Miighty Flashlight band and currently resides with his wife Mary in New York City.
