Weinberger (Austria) - The Weinbergers work revolves around
the notion of the garden as a 'perfectly provisional realm'. Their
research is geared towards unleashing natural and cultural processes
in an unstructured and marginal pattern of growth. They often employ
the discarded materials of consumer society, or the 'weeds' that
grow up around the edges of the city. In Liverpool they present
a new Cartographic Room, alongside their Garden Archive of slides
of ruderal plants and a new series of photographic works. In addition
they have developed a special Portable Garden project, using plants
from the former site of the National Garden Festival, presented
at the National Wildflower Centre.
