'As I begin to rediscover painting I realise how personal the work becomes. When asked to write a short paragraph, I struggle with words, as image becomes the visual language.

Capturing an event or moment in time, a snapshot of life... the work is open to individual interpretation without justification or boundaries - Go ahead, dive in!'.

Glenn Humphrey was born in Middlesbrough in 1964. He studied art at Staffordshire University, 1990-3. Following a brief stay in China, teaching English and several years of public art commissions, this exhibition is a fresh challenge, an opportunity to focus on new work, with fresh eyes, rekindling my passion for painting.
