Cutting Edge Fashion Illustration Curated By Martin Dawber:
Mon-Thur 10am- 4pm/ Fri 10am-2pm

Fashion illustration in the 21st Century is currently basking in a renaissance that embraces the latest creative media whilst cherishing its rich resonant heritage. Fashion and its related images increasingly flood into current media and culture.

Today’s new illustrators draw the clothes and paint the face of contemporary life in a variety of styles and techniques that echo breadth of this vibrant culture.

Concept drawings have become more accessible and consumer focused, with imagery deriving from popular culture- from music videos, advertising animation, and popular magazines.

Imagemakers presents the cream of contemporary illustration for fashion, drawing together the work of an international selection of the most exceptional emerging fashion illustrators across twelve countries.

They represent the industries new wave- both conceptual and provocative; their work bursts through the restrictions of conventional representations of fashion.

For them it is no longer just about preserving the myth of the blemish free image of fashion. They are out to rejuvenate the orthodox consumer image.

This exhibition is held at the Liverpool School of Art and Design
