‘Crazy Beats Big’
will be a new installation using a range of objects and sculptural
forms to create a mass of ordered chaos- mirroring aspects of Western
Culture and childhood imagery. The installation will include: masks,
stickers, children’s tights, ornaments, pictures of Britney
crying, mirrors, doodles on walls, synthetic hair, shoes and other
elements, creating a surreal, obsessive yet colourful environment-
reflecting the American dream and it’s trickle down into Working
Class Britain.
Some objects will be placed in multiples in extreme order and symmetry,
whilst others will take on a life of their own. It is my aim to
give the space the same feeling as walking through a rundown fairground
out of season- colourful yet old, happy yet sad, laden with memories
and photo opportunities.
